Over The Shoulder Activity
The way my group planned our shots were that we went by each line of dialogue and invisioned how we would like to set it up. The realizations that we made were that we weren't all the same height so we had to fix it by shooting sitting down. I believe we followed the rule of thirds because our heads were where the circles would be. The impressions that this makes is that you can see the body language of the person who is not talking but whose heads is towards the camera. The dialogue seems realistic. We had a bit of a different tone which made it a little hard but in the end it sounded right. The mood and tone of our video is a bit of anticipation but also funny. We accomplished this by emphasizing our words more than usual. Other observations about this shot would be that you have to be in the same spot and not move around so much or else it will not match when editing. Other things that got reinforced when doing this project would be finding the right camera angles and editing. It was nice to brush up on those.
