Holiday Greeting Video

Reflection:
I think my partner and I did a good job on the information that we presented. We had a lot of information and it was understandable for the viewers to understand. I liked the backgrounds we used and I thought they explianed clearly where we were located. I really like our editing and I thought the in and out points were pretty crisp. We were missing some credits and I would like to fix that but I think our titles were very good. In some other group's like Eddy's, Cody's and Jessica's, they used music that I really enjoyed and I would have loved to have put music in my video. I especially liked the music they chose because it was either really upbeat or went really well with what they were talking about. I handled the editing and helped find they pictures and recorded my part and helped with the script. My partner cynthia put the final script together and did the titles and the credits. I helped her by editing the clips. The thing I would do differently would be to spend more time on the project. That week I was very busy but I feel if I had more time I could do a lot more for the project.

Green screen workshop

A green screen is where you can edit a photo behind the things being filmed using adobe affects. When filming a green screen you must make sure that the green backdrophasnowrinkles and there are no shadows. Problems that you can incounteris that the showdows or wrinkles can mess up the effect and your green screen will be ruined when editing. I think the adobe premiere pro was easier.It is a hard thing and you really need to practice it.

Title workshop

This is a simple title. A title is what introduces the video. There are different kinds of styles that you can choose from. Some styles fit your theme better than others. What I learned fron this is that you really want to pick a style that represents what your video is saying.

Extract

Deleting is a you delete but nothing slides over. After doing that you have to ripple delete. Extracting is used so you can cut and delete at the same time. When you have extracted you have the ripple delete option. You have to choose in and out points where you want the extraction in the program panel. You also have to right click on the gap area that you want to ripple delete. By ripple deleting it grabs all the clips together and slides them over.

Things I learned from this video is the different perspectives they got from the different people they interviewed. I thought it was really good how they did that. They had a very creative way of approaching the subject but at the same time got the piont across. That made me learn that there are different ways to talk about cyberbullying.







From this video I learned that you could do your video in a reporting way. I thought that was neat and it really brought personal interest in the reporters to the audience. I learned that facts are a really good thing to put in your video because it supports what you're talking about.

Reflection of overlay and insert

What I learned from editing overlays and insert clips was that at first it seemed confusing. What really helped me was the step by step instructions Dr.A had. Then I got used to it and now I can do it on my own. An overlay is when you take a clip and overlay it or put it on top of another part of a different clip. It then records over what was there originally. You would use this when you want to show twp things that are happening at the same time but you don't want to take too much time. An insert is when you take a clip and insert or put it in another part of a different clip. It then is adding to the clip but does not record over anything. You would use this when you want to show things happening at the same time without editing anything out.

The skills the final product shows are that I have learned how to edit clips and make them into one video. What i liked about the final product was how clear eveyone sounded in their clip. I would like to improve on is setting the in and out points at better locations.
One way my partner helped me was to give me addvice on what to do and one way I helped my partner was I showed her how to use things.What helped me to find out what I needed to learn better was actually going and making the video on my own.The challenges we faced with the technology were trying to put the title in the video. We overcame this challenge by helping eacother and also asking Dr. A for help when we really didn't know what to do.

Our group liked the Cafeteria video the most. Its message was about reaching out, making new friends and standing up for others. We should treat eachother equally and be nice to everyone because thats how we want to be treated too.
